Did you know, this region in Spain, GALICIA used to be considered where the world ended until Columbus “discover” the New World? It´s true! In Latin the Romans called this area Finisterrae or in other worlds, The End of the World!!! 🙂 So cool!
It´s so beautiful out there and for sure you can find the best beaches in Spain and probably the best seafood in the world too!! Lovely! It´s gonna be lovely!, don´t you think so? The best of it, Galicia, the whole region is kind of undiscovered but this only make it more interesting, more unique… Shall we go?

Would you love Miss López so much to follow me to the end of the world?? 🙂 Discover you too “Finisterrae”, the end of the world in Latin and Feelgood!!!

Hello amigos!! MISS LOPEZ is back after these exhausted days with so many business meetings and mingligs in Stockholm, and last weekend in wonderful Madrid, SPAIN!! 🙂 Yes I think this weekend I just want to relax! Thank God I have had such a healthy breakfast today withGO FOR LIFEproducts, one of my sponsors for my events and more… Cool! I must say I really like this super food and I can really recommend them to Feel Good!
So last week when picking up Go for life products I happen to see this really nice and very Swedish style salong at Vasastan, ORDINARY. On the window it was a little paper about the new coming hairdresser Linnea Östling, who is giving a bit better prices right now as she is quite new at the salong and I decided to contact her to collaborate with my blog, Miss Lopez, and she said after a while, YES! Nice! 🙂 So today I got this really nice treatment and a very good and natural haircut. I must say I like their concept as at ORDINARY they want you as a customer to feel well looked after and their aim is to make creativity and quality go hand in hand. I like it! In this salong as a customer you follow your own style despite of what it´s trendy or not right now to find your best YOU. Their philosophy is that everybody is different and special JUST the way you are, all kinds of people…Cool! I like that! It really is FEELGOOD WOMANHOOD philosophy too!
In the pictures at the salong I introduce you my hairdresser Linnea Östling, really service minded and you can see me as well while and after. A really natural and well done haircut, isn´t it? I hope you like it! By the way I really liked the smell of jazmin and flowers when I came in…I almost felt like being in the countryside. Nice!
What a nice job I have! Today I am travelling to Madrid, Spain to show you, my readers the big city and capital of Spain where I am from too and I have been living before at Miss Lopez´s blog. Isn´t it great to be a blogger at Miss Lopez? 🙂
I think so…I must hurry up and I do not have much time to write right now. Sorry! I just wanted to say Good Morning to you all from a still cold Sweden and I want you to know I am really looking forward to blogging to you from Madrid. I feel like a reporter, Cool! Miss Lopez´s reporter!
I must thank very much my sponsors like Iberia, Tour Spain, Hotel Meninas, Oficina de Turismo de Madrid… Thank you all! Gracias!

Hola, hola, hola, Miss Marisolhere, Isabel Lopez´s old friend, MISS LOPEZ, back again from La Coruña, Spain, thinking that those of you with a sweet tooth would really appreciate this delicious Easter dessert from Spain, TORRIJAS… Torrijas are is a “sweet” traditionally eaten during Lent, the 40-day period before Easter. It is believed that Torrijas originated in Andalucian convents during the XV century as a way to use up stale bread. Although today it is associated with the cuisine of Madrid, it is a popular breakfast food all over the world but in Spain where it is considered a dessert. Americans, I know as I used to live in USA for many years before I moved back to Spain, would probably see it as a Spanish variation of “French Toast.”
Torrijas can be eaten any time of the day. There are many variations of this treat – some soften the bread by soaking it in wine, while other variations use milk or water and honey. In Spain, the typical bread would be a French-style baguette but since we are watching what we eat, I recommend to use a whole meal bread instead. Most variations serve it with sugar and cinnamon. Ingredients
• 4-6 Slices of Stale Bread*
• 3/4 cup Milk
• 1 Egg
• Cinnamon Stick
• Peel of one lemon
• Vegetable Oil for frying, such as Sunflower seed or Corn Oil, NOT olive oil
• 1/8 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
• Two tbsp full of Sugar
• Powdered Sugar for dusting
Serves Four. Preparation Time: 10 minutes. Cooking Time: 10 minutes
* TIP: If you do not have stale bread on hand, lightly toast the sliced bread so that it dries out enough to soak up the milk and not turn to mush.
Warm the milk with the sugar, a cinnamon stick and the lemon peel over a low heat and keep steering it until it boils.
Let the milk cool down to room temperature.
Remove the lemon peel and the cinnamon stick and pour the milk into a medium-size mixing bowl. Add the egg and beat together. Add vanilla extract, if desired. Pour enough oil into a large frying pan to cover the bottom and heat on medium. Be careful that the oil does not burn.
If you are using stale white bread, place one slice in the milk-egg mixture and quickly flip it over with a fork. Make sure that the bowl is next to the frying pan, so you can quickly transfer it from the bowl to the heated pan.
If you use a stale baguette, slices should be at least 1/2 inch thick. If the bread is more than a day old, you may need to soak the bread for 2-3 minutes or more, so that it softens up. Be careful that the bread does not soften so much that it crumbles when you lift it out of the bowl.
Carefully lift the bread out of the mixture and let the excess milk drain before placing the bread in the frying pan. Repeat for each of the other slices.
After 2-3 minutes, check the bottom of the bread. As the slices turn golden, turn each one. You may wish to use a nylon spatula or tongs to turn the slices over. Make sure that you have enough room in the pan to turn the slices.
Remove each piece from the pan and place on a plate. Sprinkle the top with the powdered sugar and cinnamon.
Note: Torrijas, are usually eaten at room temperature but if you wish to eat them warm place them back in a toaster oven at a low temperature. Do not place them in a microwave because this will cause the bread to become rubbery. You can serve them warm with ice-cream and fresh berries.
Hope you enjoy this delicious recipe of “Miss Lopez´s Torrijas” and have a Wonderful Feelgood Womanhood Easter!
Hola, hola, hola, Miss Marisol is back again from La Coruña, Spain, this time to give you a healthy recipe to start your day!
If you are looking for a high-energy, whole-grain food that will also help you get your daily dose of healthy fats and soluble fiber, and fuel your training and workouts, you have to try a bowl or two of Muesli. Muesli, is an inexpensive and flavorful way to get your daily grains that you can make yourself at home with organic ingredients
Muesli was developed by the Swiss physician Maximilian Bircher-Benner around 1900 to serve to patients in his hospital in Zurich. The diet that Bircher-Benner prescribed to his patients was heavy on whole-grains and fresh fruits and vegetables, and Bircher-Benner came up with idea of Muesli after being served a similar dish during a hike in the Swiss Alps
Muesli is an ideal health and fitness food because it’s a great source of sustainable energy from slow-burning, complex carbohydrates; has plenty of trace vitamins and minerals; and meets the criteria of a “whole food” because it’s minimally processed.
This Muesli recipe uses four grains as well as some dried fruit and nuts and seeds to make a very flavorful cereal.
All right, let´s move to the Ingredients and get this recipe started:
1 cup medium or thick rolled oats/oat flakes
1 cup rolled rye flakes
1 cup rolled triticale
1 cup rolled wheat flakes
1/2 cup dried dates
1/2 cup chopped walnuts, pecans or sliced/slivered almonds
1/4 cup whole flaxseeds or flaxseed meal
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/3 cup raisins
Mix the ingredients together in a large bowl. Transfer to an airtight container. If storing for longer periods, consider keeping the cereal in the freezer or refrigerator.
Hot Muesli Instructions: Add 1/2 cup Muesli to 1/2 cup water, milk or soy milk and bring to a boil. Simmer for 3-5 minutes. You can also microwave Muesli in a large bowl on high for 3-5 minutes, stirring once halfway through. Makes two servings. Add some fresh berries on top for a delicious fruity touch.
Cold Muesli Instructions: Soak 1/4 cup Muesli in 1/2 cup yogurt, milk, soy milk or fruit juice for 5-10 minutes, or soak overnight. Makes 1 serving.
Well friends, hope you enjoy Miss Lopez´s Four Grain Muesli, it´s a great and healthy Feelgood Womanhood Way to start your day!
