Hola, hola, hola, Miss Marisol is back again from La Coruña, Spain, this time to give you a healthy recipe to start your day!
If you are looking for a high-energy, whole-grain food that will also help you get your daily dose of healthy fats and soluble fiber, and fuel your training and workouts, you have to try a bowl or two of Muesli. Muesli, is an inexpensive and flavorful way to get your daily grains that you can make yourself at home with organic ingredients
Muesli was developed by the Swiss physician Maximilian Bircher-Benner around 1900 to serve to patients in his hospital in Zurich. The diet that Bircher-Benner prescribed to his patients was heavy on whole-grains and fresh fruits and vegetables, and Bircher-Benner came up with idea of Muesli after being served a similar dish during a hike in the Swiss Alps
Muesli is an ideal health and fitness food because it’s a great source of sustainable energy from slow-burning, complex carbohydrates; has plenty of trace vitamins and minerals; and meets the criteria of a “whole food” because it’s minimally processed.
This Muesli recipe uses four grains as well as some dried fruit and nuts and seeds to make a very flavorful cereal.
All right, let´s move to the Ingredients and get this recipe started:
1 cup medium or thick rolled oats/oat flakes
1 cup rolled rye flakes
1 cup rolled triticale
1 cup rolled wheat flakes
1/2 cup dried dates
1/2 cup chopped walnuts, pecans or sliced/slivered almonds
1/4 cup whole flaxseeds or flaxseed meal
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/3 cup raisins
Mix the ingredients together in a large bowl. Transfer to an airtight container. If storing for longer periods, consider keeping the cereal in the freezer or refrigerator.
Hot Muesli Instructions: Add 1/2 cup Muesli to 1/2 cup water, milk or soy milk and bring to a boil. Simmer for 3-5 minutes. You can also microwave Muesli in a large bowl on high for 3-5 minutes, stirring once halfway through. Makes two servings. Add some fresh berries on top for a delicious fruity touch.
Cold Muesli Instructions: Soak 1/4 cup Muesli in 1/2 cup yogurt, milk, soy milk or fruit juice for 5-10 minutes, or soak overnight. Makes 1 serving.

Hello!. I hope everybody know the importance of human communication at any level. But did you know that a good communication with your doctor, is essential for an effective treatment for you as a patient as well?. Yes pedagogy is important to doctors to learn not just the subject itself!. The importance of pedagogy. Let´s see.
The good part of it, it´s that internet and new technologies can be helpful, even in this matter. Communication with health professionals is not always easy and many forget about it.However, there is scientific evidence according to new studies and a survey in Spain from OCU showing that the complicity between patient and doctor improves treatment outcomes, strengthens the emotional health, reduce symptoms and help you to manage pain in a better way. Then I think we must do everything possible to improve it, our human communication.
In general, women in the health sector score higher than their male counterparts in this section, maybe because women are better at communication in general. It´s proven that the attitude of health professionals strongly influence how patients perceive and how they communicate with them. Thus, when the professional is giving you a more active role in making decisions about your own health, this will improve communication. By contrast, an authoritarian style or controller, in which the patient is the passive subject of the doctor’s decisions, will result in worse communication and, ultimately, less satisfaction. In any case, if you are not satisfied with your doctor or other health care professional and have the option of switching to another (something not always easy), try to exercise your right. I´ll do that in this case. The new technologies of information and communication (Internet, email, SMS, electronic health card …) are very important in the health field. One of the most interesting possibilities is to open new channels, faster and comfortable for citizens’ access to health professionals, and most see more advantages than disadvantages in applying these new technologies. Still there are fears about new technologies and the confidentiality of personal data.In any case, it is worth promoting new technologies because they open new possibilities for improving the quality of health services. For sure we´ll save a lot of problems in this world with better communication. Improve communication by being nice 🙂 . Smile and Feelgood Feelgood Womenhood

A good diet helps to prevent certain diseases and even slow aging. In this sense the Mediterranean diet model from Spain or Italy…is a reference model when it comes to ‘programming’ our diet . Here we offer a tour of all these foods and the reasons (nutrition, health …) that make these products essential in the shopping cart:
Olive oil: has monounsaturated oleic acid which lowers the so-called cholesterol. In addition, its contribution to fatty acids reduces the hypercoagulability of the blood, also reducing the risk of thrombosis, the incidence of atherosclerosis…
Garlic: this little food, essential in many dishes in the South of Europe…, is rich in vitamins A, B and C and certain minerals , like potassium, which makes it an excellent diuretic and hypotensive. It is rich in fiber and is an effective anti-rheumatic. As if that were not enough, helps reduce bad cholesterol and its regular consumption seems to decrease the incidence of stomach cancer and lung cancer.
Onion: its contribution in flavonoids helps reduce the risk of heart disease. Promotes blood sugar control, reduce LDL levels as well as being a diuretic, hypotensive and expectorant.
Cereals added to the diet carbohydrates -starch-complex and very energetic. They provide lots of fiber. They contain vitamins, especially B and E. Group Nutritionists consider this group (consisting, among others, rice, pasta, bread or corn) products irreplaceable in a balanced diet.
Egg: the balance of amino acids causes the body to use them to build up the body’s cells .
Legumes: their high content of protein and carbohydrates makes lentils, chickpeas, beans, beans or soybeans irreplaceable in a balanced diet. In addition, it is best to take them in combination with cereals, resulting in a near-perfect protein dish.
Nuts: according to various studies consumption reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease. But beware, this consumption should be moderate because it is a very calorie nut.
Blue fish: its content of polyunsaturated fatty acids Omega 3 family strongly supports a good heart…
Vegetables: their carotene or provitamin A, (along with its known antioxidant, which helps protect against cancer. They are also rich in vitamin C, folic acid, minerals and fiber, resulting, therefore very beneficial.
