Today I miss Spain again and its lifestyle! I love Barcelona and now I have another reason to visit it again. Are you coming with me? 🙂 I’ll tell you why. Barely a year after its inauguration, one of the most surprising hotels in Barcelona has been awarded with the Prix Villégiature Awards 2010 for the category of “Best hotel exterior architecture of Europe.” The building, designed by renowned Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill, is a large glass candle that melts with the sea providing spectacular reflections. Pure Mediterranean inspiration, how could it be otherwise?  I believe those of you that have the chance to visit it will get one of the most exciting and spiritual moments of their life. You must see it! Ricardo Bofill the creator of this architectural project said that doing something like this in a city like Barcelona is not an easy task as the most excellent planning and the most incredible diversity of architectural pieces can be found from the Roman wall to the latest icons. It is the result of thousands of architects working together for two thousand years, from the Romans to now!
