Hello amigos y amigas! Today we are going to Brasil! Another Latin country as well. Despite the fact that Brasil has the best models right now like Lais Ribeiro there are many things going on there, not only fashion. Here in the picture Lais Ribeiro is parading in Milan for Versace, Alberta Ferretti, Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Roberto Cavalli and Dolce & Gabbana. And, then she appeared in the Paris presentation of Christian Dior, Jean Paul Gaultier, Givenchy, John Galliano and Hermès. A lot of inspiration! I love people with style! 🙂

But on the other hand, who has said, Latin women has not a major roll in society too? In fact there have always been important women in politics too. Have a look at Spain’s history! Or like the  economist Dilma Rousseff, from Brasil who have made history by being elected just yesterday as the first female president of Brazil.

The UN Fund for Development of Women (UNIFEM) consider her victory a “historic for politics and society in Brazil. “It is the consecration of the struggle of generations of Brazilian women, from the early twentieth century, fought for the conquest of the right to vote,” said in a statement the representative of UNIFEM for Brazil and Southern Cone, Rebecca Reichmann Tavares.
In her first public comments following the confirmation of the results of the elections, Rousseff told reporters with a smile that showed some nervousness, she is “very happy” to have been chosen as the first woman to rule the largest country in Latin America.
