Have you been missing my fashion news? You know I love art and fashion so here comes the news about a famous Latin designer, Oscar de la Renta from Dominican Republic. He trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando (Spain), in the workshops of Balenciaga, who shared a great friendship and admiration in equal measure … and now, Oscar de la Renta is a masterly example of how to make fashion into art. Hence, the Dominican Republic found in him one of the most universal Dominicans today.

Oscar de la Renta did a retrospective of his history on the catwalk, ending with their latest creations. Starting with a dress belonging to 1967, you could see as well emblematic designs ‘ready-to-wear’, as his creations bridal and couture, or the latter performed under the seal of Balmain house. Of course, the saddest thing was that, finally and because of health problems, Oscar de la Renta personally could not accompany all those attending the parade. However, as a gentleman, he sent a video of apology with which he used to present this important event. A magical moment is recorded in golden letters in the history of Dominicana.
