Hello amigos y amigas!. I love Mallorca and I have been to Valdemossa as well in a trip long time ago so I can undertand why it is so popular. By the way, do you like classic music like the one from the great Chopin?. Myself sometimes I do.
There were only  three months and five days  Frederic Chopin lived in this beautiful town in the north of Mallorca, Valdemossa, but it has not forgotten and since then, it is proclaimed  his love for this place, especially this year which is held the bicentennial of the birth of the great Polish pianist and with concerts and shows to remind him.
Lectures, recitals, concert series, seminars, exhibitions… The options are many and also varied, because a lot of events are scheduled for the Chopin Year 2010. Of all the proposals, do not miss any of the events taking place in the Real Cartuja, not only because it is the most important building in Valldemossa, also because it was here where the winter of 1838-1839 Chopin lived, composed some of his great work and lived with the French novelist George Sand.
