The Stockholm Royal Palacein the heart of the Swedish capital, hosted the wedding celebration of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel. The newlyweds made their entry into the Hall of State of the palace after they did the guests at the gala dinner.After a greeting from King Carl Gustav, the 558 guests (nearly half of those attending the wedding ceremony in the cathedral) began to taste the wedding banquet.
The menu prepared by chef Stefano Catenacci, was served in the Hall of State and in three adjacent rooms. They opened the dinner crayfish on the West Coast with truffles and truffle caviar summer citrus cod marinated salmon on a bed of flowers with cucumber jelly and greenpea soup with white fish roe.
Then he tasted Land coated char herbs, poached quail egg, asparagus, beet greens and served with a sauce Gotland nettle and garlic. Continued sirloin of Stenhammar with crisps, roast potatoes au gratin Allerum cheese, tomato and carrot terrine cooked cabbage with thyme and tarragon sauce.
For dessert, mousse , strawberry rhubarb and center with vanilla ice cream in white chocolate.
All washed down by four wines different: Champagne Pommery 2000 Grand Cru, Les Pierris 2008 Sancerre Domaine Roger Champault, Pommard 1: er Cru 2002 Louis Jadot Epenots and Sauternes 2007 Château Simon.
