The battle to become Britain’s prime minister has been a closely fought contest, with the UK facing its first hung parliament for decades after Thursday’s general election result meant no party won an overall majority.
And the main contenders’ wives are equally as matched – in the style stakes; all three upping their game sartorially speaking to step out with their husbands as voting began.
No doubt a great deal of thought went into each of the outfits chosen by Sarah Brown, Samantha Cameron and Miriam Gonzalez Durantez for such a critical moment in their spouses’ campaigns.
